2. What does it do?

TSM is a backup procedure. Once the TSM client is installed, configured and launched, it will perform nightly incremental backups of whatever filesystems you want, using the robot backup system at 155 Whitney Ave. There is also a simular tape robot backup system at ITS Med. There are also client file recovery programs.
