5.1 LinuxYou can download a TSM Linux client here: ftp://ftp.wss.yale.edu/pub/linux/other/tsm You'll need to download the adsm.Yale.UNIX.client.conf.tar file as well as the RPMs in the latest version of TSM. Install the RPMs, then create the following link: ln -s /opt/tivoli/tsm/client/ba/bin /usr/adsm Place the dsm.Yale.UNIX.client.conf.tar file in /usr and untar. It has all the necessary configurations for Linux clients at Yale, but please read the README.Yale file anyway. At minimum, you have to add your host name, IP number and TSM password to /usr/adms/dsm.sys.
5.2 Other UNIXYou'll have to download the TSM client for other versions of UNIX from IBM here: ftp://service.boulder.ibm.com/storage/tivoli-storage-management/maintenance/client/ NOTE for Solaris 9 users: The TSM Solaris 9 client will NOT be available until April 2003. In the mean time, there is a work around available here: ftp://ftp.wss.yale.edu/pub/solaris/tsm/Solaris9 I would again recommend installing the TSM client in /usr/adsm. You can then download the "standard" UNIX TSM client configuration files here: ftp://ftp.wss.yale.edu/pub/linux/other/tsm/adsm.Yale.UNIX.client.conf.tar You should place this file in /usr and untar. It will then install all the necessary configurations for UNIX clients at Yale, but please read the README.Yale file anyway. At minimum, you have to add your host name, IP number and TSM password to /usr/adms/dsm.sys.
