Yale University has a license to install and use Mathematica on computers as defined below.

• Campus Computer - A Campus Computer is a computer that is owned or leased by Yale University and is installed in a Yale University owned facility that is located at Yale University's campus in New Haven, Connecticut that is for the sole use of Affiliated Individuals and that is used primarily for teaching.
• Affiliated Individual - Any person who is at least a half-time faculty member or staff member of Yale University is an Affiliated Individual.
• Eligible Home User - An Eligible Home User is any person who is not a student at Yale University, and who otherwise qualifies as an Affiliated Individual.
• Eligible Computer - An Eligible Computer is a Campus Computer or a computer owned or leased by an Eligible Home User for the sole use of Eligible Home Users. This personally owned computer may be portable or located in the Affliated Individual's residence or University office.
• Home User - An Eligible Home User may install and use Mathematica on an Eligible Computer.

Yale University has agreed to the following restrictions in its license agreement for Mathematica:

• Any use in violation of the Mathematica license agreement is prohibited.
• Any access by individuals who are not Affiliated Individuals is prohibited.
• Installation on any computer that is not a Campus Computer is prohibited.
• Installation on any computer which is primarily used for administration, research, or any other use which is not teaching is prohibited.
• Use at any federally funded research laboratory or other organizations where the primary mission is not the direct teaching of students is prohibited.
• Any use for profit is prohibited.
