You may install a complete version of Mathematica from the campus network. The UNIX and Linux distributions are available via ftp from: ftp.wss.yale.edu

For versions older than 6.0, you will need to contact WSS.

The software is available as a gzip'd tar file):

	Download 6.0

Download the needed version into a temporary directory. Unzip and untar the file. You will find the installer in the Unix/Installer directory. Run the MathInstaller executable.

After the install completes, a license file needs to be created. This license file is available from:

ftp://ftp.wss.yale.edu/pub/licensed/mathpass

Copy this file to the Mathematica license directory. This location depends on the mathematica directory location that you chose during the installation. (ex: /usr/local/Wolfram/Mathematica/6.0/Configuration/Licensing/mathpass

Standalone licenses are available if needed for faculty laptop and home users. Students are not eligible for standalone licenses. Please note: standalone licenses expire yearly on September 1st.
